Tracey started playing percussion at age 3 when she pulled out her Mom's
Tupperware, thus beginining her musical journey. When Christmas came during
Tracey's 5th year on earth, she asked for drums as her present from Santa. Just before Christmas, her Mom passed by her room and saw she was rearranging
some of the furniture. "I'm making room for my drumset." , Tracey explained.Mom knew then this wasn't just another toy to her daughter.
While in high school, Tracey dabbled in a couple of bands, but was also a
naturally gifted athlete and put most of her focus there. It wasn't until she lived in San Francisco and heard the drums in Aquatic Park that she returned
to her love of of drums and making music.
For the past 13 years Tracey has pursued music with a passion. She can be
heard on the critically acclaimed Token Angel's CD entitled "Let It Go", and also plays with L.A. based Christian artist Kate Miner. In the past four
years, Tracey has found a home with Hollye Dexter and the Brave Souls. "I have a very hard time attempting to play music I don't feel connected to and
playing with people I don't feel connected with. With Hollye, I have the best of both. Her music is about real life, real pain, real questions and on the
lighter side, real fun."
Tracey also is a licensed masseuse and personal trainer, which makes her
very popular with the other band members! |
