Drummer, Producer, Arranger Robert "Jake" Jacobs has lived in Los Angeles for
15 years and has a classical conservatory background in music with strong
musical influences in New Orleans R&B, Acoustic Jazz, Blues, Rock and Funk.
Jake has been performing and recording professionally since the age of 13 with
such greats as Natalie Cole, Peaches and Herb, Three Dog Night, Bobbie 'Blue"
Bland, Ollie Woodson, T. Lavitz, Bob Malone, Peter Himmelman, The Young
Dubliners, Tommy Mars (Frank Zappa), and Clarence Clemons (Bruce Springsteen).
He helped orchestrate the film score to "Delta Force 3" and has played on
several other big screen and TV movie soudtracks.
He can also be heard on Fox's Saturday afternoon show "In The Zone",
Nickelodeon's new hit show "Cat Dog" as well as jingles for Budweiser, Lexus,
and Boston Market.
Jake recently became the Artists Relations Manager for Rhythm Tech Inc.
He also teaches in the Los Angeles area and loves educating people who have a
serious interest in getting behind a set of drums.
Jake and Troy have known each other (and worked together on and off live and
in the studio) for several years. He is the most recent addition to The Brave
Souls Band -
